How can my major make the world a better place?

 

Since my major has to do with the generation of scientific knowledge and its subsequent transmission and application of public policies, the greatest environmental impact, both negative and positive, that it can generate is that related to the application of policies public of an environmental nature. Personally, I do not think that I am directly involved in this field, since my goal in this major, is not to work in the public sector, but if so, I would like to promote the application of positive measures for the environment. Taking all this into account, a negative way in which my major could affect the environment is in the application for projects that do not have an ecological conscience, such as economic policies that do not take sustainable development into account. Likewise, public policies of an environmental, nature can be applied, such as the implementation of the so-called green areas that are aimed at ecological conservation, or other measures such as those that try to protect natural resources.
